Check out the following FREE events! All events are for ages 18 and up. Registration is required unless otherwise stated.

Bring Your Own Book Club (BYOB) – May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29 @ 11am
Join us for conversation and cookies while we discuss our favorite books or current reads. Newcomers welcome! No registration required.

Mini Canvas Open Studio Time – June 10, June 24, July 8 ALL DAY
Pick up a blank canvas at the Library to decorate as you wish! Decorate it with supplies you have at home, or stop by for Open Studio Time. All ages encouraged! We will display the canvases in our Gallery 199 during the month of August!

Book Bricks – June 8 @ 5pm
Paint a brick to resemble your favorite book! It can be displayed in the yard or indoors! Supplies provided.

Book Bedazzling – June 22 @ 5pm
Decorate a copy of your favorite book with gemstones! Supply your own book, and we’ll provide the rest.

Hamilton Sing-Along – June 26 @ 5pm
Don’t throw away your shot! Join us for an after-hours showing of the hit musical, Hamilton! This event will include crafts, light refreshments, and of course, singing is strongly encouraged. Come to the library and be in the room where it happens… Hamilton is rated PG-13, and this program is ages 13 and up. Run time: 2hrs 40min.

Painted Edges – July 6 @ 5pm
Join us for a DIY Painted Edges Workshop! Supply your own book and we’ll supply the paint, brushes, and stencils.

Coffee with a Colonial – July 16 @ 5:30pm
Local reenactor and historian, Sam Leamer, joins us for coffee and conversation, in character as an American soldier during the Revolutionary War. Drop-in for this family-friendly event that puts a fun spin on history! Where the world is so busy today, Mr. Leamer invites you to take a pause and enjoy the simple pleasure of conversation over and about coffee, either of the 18th or the 21st century variety. Recommended for all ages.

Clay Date – July 20 @ 5pm
Inspired by our friends at the Richland Community Library. Bring a friend or partner along to this crafty event! No artistic ability or experience necessary, just bring along your creativity! Recreate a clay figure or create your own – we provide the supplies, you bring the fun!

Mini Canvas Gallery Opening – August 5 @ 4pm
Join us as we display our library patrons’ Mini Canvas Creations at our own Gallery 199! All are welcome! The canvases will be on display until the end of August.
