Volunteers are at the heart of the Myerstown Community Library

Duties Include:

  • Shelve books by alphabetical order and the Dewey Decimal System.
  • Read shelves to ensure media is in its proper location.
  • Assist in library programs.
  • Use the copier.
  • Assist patrons with questions or defer them to the library staff on duty.
  • Perform other duties as instructed.
  • Other unique opportunities available!

How To Get Started:

  • Adults over the age of eighteen must obtain required clearances: PA Child Abuse History & PA State Police History.
  • Minors under the age of eighteen must obtain parental consent.
  • Complete the volunteer application.
  • Complete volunteer orientation & training session.
